I visited this business on the recommendation of friends who live in my building and I am thankful for the recommendation. The food is exquisite - although I thought some of our food was a little overpriced. As with almost all my reviews, it's the staff who make or break the customer service experience. The service is exemplary. Rarely have we had such attentive, customer focused service. Truly impressive and our servers are definitely taking their experience and incorporating this into their career paths. This business has some incredible assets in their staff. Loved it and very much looking forward to returning in the very near future!

We arrived around 5:45 pm so it wasn't busy. 3 course meal. Each course arrived quickly but only after we were done with each plate. Big shout out to our server. One of the best customer service experiences I've had in all of Canada. If there was a small spill on the table he made sure to clean it. Food was amazing. If you're in town give this establishment a try!!

I really enjoyed my diner there. All the dishes I tried were delicious, even though they were on the salty side. The patatas bravas were nice and crispy. The bruxel sprouts were nicely seasoned. The seafood paella had a decent amount of seafood pieces. The Spanish octopus was great, nicely cooked and crispy. We enjoyed the tapenade that came with it. The boar cheeks were perfectly cooked with a delicious sauce. The Piri piri prawns were excellent too, nicely grilled. Would definitely recommend this place as they have so many options that you’ll be sure to find what you like. Our server was nice and friendly too.

Amazing food experience! Seating is first come first serve. It is a tiny part of Sabor. I arrived at 5pm on a Thursday and there were plenty of seats until 6pm. Grilled octopus: delicious! Portuguese baguette with curry spread: so tasty! Artichokes: so so good! Bacon figs: super yummy, A great combo of sweet and salty. Coffee crunch (?) dessert: creamy and crunchy, highly recommend! Asparagus: my least favorite as it was swimming in oil and it was difficult to notice the cheese on top as it was melted in and didn’t taste like much. Servers were super attentive. Highly recommend!

Bodega is the sister restaurant of Sabor, which is my favorite restaurant in Edmonton (and always in the top five according to most lists). Like Sabor, the hardest part is figuring out how to order because the tapas, while delicious, quickly add up. Having had the paella at Sabor, we decided to skip the pricy mains and combine some tapas, an a la carte protein and small charcuterie. Cod fritters never disappoint and were perfectly seasoned without being fishy. We love the empanadas which you can have with various proteins. (We split beef and lamb.) They are never greasy and always flavorful. Garlic prawns are reasonably large and perfectly flavored without being oily or overly garlicky. Unfortunately, while billed as a Portuguese restaurant, our visit to Portugal last year kind of ruined charcuterie anywhere else for us because nothing can match the quality of meats and cheeses in Portugal or Spain. However, they do offer a good selection of North American and European meats and cheeses that are tasty but a tad pricey. Still worth it if you enjoy cheese boards. We skipped the meats because they are overpriced by our standards. As an a la carte protein, we enjoyed the 8 ounce short ribs which were cooked medium with delicious chimichurri on top. While we didn’t order an appetizer this time, we’ve had the mussels and would recommend them along with most others but perhaps you’d skip some tapas and choose a main instead if your budget allows. Cherry cheesecake is tapa sized but quite tasty. Service at the Ellerslie location is excellent and wait staff are cordial, friendly and offer suggestions as they do on the downtown location. Overall, Bodega is an excellent choice for what it offers but expect to easily spend between 120 to 150 if you want to walk away full and satisfied.

I finally made my way over to check out Bodega Tapas & Wine Bar by SABOR. It was one of the best experiences I've ever had. The food were excellent, the wine was divine, and the service exceptional and friendly. Ahi Tuna salad - The tuna was fresh and delicious, the cucumber and green salad was delicious, with a twist of curry in the sauce. Tomatoes Bruschetta - Served with a crunchy baguette and a delicious tomato salad, don't miss out I have to say the Octopus is a delicious dish that is perfectly prepared and is accompanied by a delicious olive tapenade. It melts in your mouth like butter! Even though we were so full, the lobster risotto was the perfect end to a great meal The wine menu was unique and there was a 50% discount on Wednesdays so we enjoyed excellent Spanish wines. Dry Rose & Verdejo The kitchen will always substitute vegetables and food-sensitive/allergy options whenever possible. Make sure you try the artichokes! Definitely one of my favorites!

Great food. Elegantly presented. Very tasty and rich with ingredients that creates fireworks in your mouth. Clean and waitress was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable of all items on the menu. Highly recommend this restaurant for any special occasion!

Our waiters were amazing. They were both very attentive to what we needed and were very nice. The food was AMAZING. We ordered the cesaer salad, mussels, clams, calamari, and prawns. I LOVE the peri peri prawns, it is amazing. The service was fast, drinks were great. This is an amazing tapas place where vibes are perfect and service is better. A must try for Edmonton food.
